My husband and I enjoy going to the theater almost every weekend to catch some of the newest Hollywood releases. Does anyone else here enjoy going to see the latest movies on the big screen?

I am not that into going to
I am not that into going to the movie theaters. I do not like watching things with the sound so loud and prefer to watch them at home where I can control the volume. I still go a few times a year with my family, but rarely is it my initiative to go.
I try and go see the matinee
I try and go see the matinee shows. It's a little less but money but when you include snacks it comes out about even or I will wait until it comes out on DVD.
movies
I enjoy going to the occasional new release at the theater. Especially at The Warren Theater in Wichita. The sound system is amazing and the seats are super comfy. Its a really great place to go for a 'date night'.
On my budget...
We have to wait until they come out on video to get our money's worth out of it. They charge so much for popcorn and everything else, that it's cheaper to wait and buy it!
Not Much Fun Anymore
I agree. With the huge cost of movies, why do they have to charge so much for snacks too?
I also can't afford to see anything in movie houses anymore. But then again, the fun of doing that has gone down as audiences have become more and more loud and rude and the movie theaters have been made smaller. I can't say how many times I have had movies ruined because of people talking, chewing and even talking on their darn cell phones loudly! One time there was a bunch of teens who just talked and made out (Inappropriately in public) and made me so miserable I just had to leave.
Thank heavens for DVDs and videos I can watch at home. I like that I can put them on hold so I can take a break and go back to rehear a moment if I missed it.
I find movie theaters aren't as enjoyable as they once were.
Going out to the Movies
We enjoy going out to the movies, but in the last while we've waited for a lot of them to come out on DVD.
We still go to the theater for the ones we think would be especially great on the big screen, though.
Movies
Same, I used to watch a lot of movies at the theater but now I feel like I get the same experiance at home. Although some comedies I go to the theater. Sometimes other people laughing make it funnier.

Ya I agree, I go to the movies with friends sometimes, but never really with my boy friend...I don't really like Movies on dates anyway. Can't talk. I usually just use Netflix.
Last night, I watched the
Last night, I watched the movie entitled The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. I was with my friends last night. The theatre was cool and the atmosphere is good.
The higer cost of gas and
The higer cost of gas and the prices of tickets to watch a movie to me just isn't worth it. I would love to go more, but I cannot justify the cost.
