I've done cardmaking and have managed to sell some over the months. I've also done needlepoint years ago and sold a few of them too.
I find that I tend to under-rate my work. I know that I have worked many hours on most of the things I have created, but I am still not comfortable in charging what my work is worth.
In that many of the things I've sold is to friends who have either insisted that I make something for them or that I must sell them something I have already made, I tend to feel funny charging much.
On the few occasions that a friend has shown something I made to someone else, and that person asked me to sell them something, I still felt funny charging what it is really worth.
I know if another hobby starts to become something I want to sell, I will have to go to strangers to sell it. I can see what other works are going for and then decide on a price -- but it will have to go to strangers!
I have been attracted to making and painting plaster Christmas ornaments over the years and have always given those away to friends. But I have also gotten a lot of great feedback on them, from friends of friends. I might start to get a good number of those made some year to sell at fairs that are around just before the holidays.
I think those can be sold at a good price and I also enjoy doing it.
I tried selling some booties
