Where I am the daffodils & crocus are starting to bloom. Can't wait to see the bright red tulips (they should be popping up soon). I was wondering, does anyone know when it is the best time to prune Lilac bushes?? I have one in my yard that hasen't bloomed very well the last two years. Someone told me if i pruned them, they would do better but they did not mention when. Any help will be appreciated.

I've been thinking of planting some lilac bushes myself. They smell so pretty.
Everything I've read says to trim them annually, but it does not say when they should be trimmed. I would trim in the spring or fall.

I love Lilac bushes!! Sorry, I've never planted any so I'm not quite sure, but my mom always does, I can ask next time I speak with her and get back to you. She's big on gardening. I'll get back as soon as I can!
