Has anybody out there ever been to the Kansas Cosmosphere in Hutchinson? I have checked out the website and it looks very interesting. Does anybody know if it would interest a 4 year old or would it be a little over his head. Any help is appreciated.

Things to do at Cosmosphere for 4 year olds
Like most museums it's hard to keep a four year old interested BUT there are several venues within the Cosmosphere they may enjoy. Definitely take them to Dr Goddards lab where they have live rocketry demonstrations and get the audience involved. Most kids love to watch them blow stuff up there. Then they might like an IMAX show, shows are always changing but most kids that age love the experience and the films are short, usually an hour or less so they don't get too antsy before it ends. There is also the Astronaut experience area with simulators a small child can enjoy, four is too small for some but not all of the simulators. After you wear them out there you may want to stroll trhough the museum but he's probably too young to enjoy the planetarium unless he's a very calm four year old. Hope that helps!
4 year olds!!
Thanks so much for all the help!! We look at the website all the time(my son thinks he's an astronaut). It sounds like there is a lot that we could do to keep him entertained while I take my "space-nut" husband out for a special day. Looking forward to seeing all the sights in person. Thanks again
