A pickup truck driver died after a head-on crash involving a semi Monday evening on US 50 in Harvey County, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The pickup, a Dodge Ram 1500, was traveling east on US 50 when it crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming Peterbilt semi. The semi driver was not injured.
The crash occurred at about 6:00 p.m. near milepost 285.5, roughly 0.75 miles northeast of North East Lake Road in Harvey County. The driver of the pickup, Gerado Mendoza, 49, of Marion, was killed.
