In their opening match Friday, Allen fell 3-0 to Rock Valley College. In Sunday’s tournament finale, Jefferson College shut out Allen, leaving the Red Devils winless as they head into their last game before conference play begins.
Against Rock Valley, Allen conceded all three goals in the second half, and freshman goalkeeper Mackenzie Martel recorded eight saves. Next, Allen will play Crowder Community College on Wednesday.
The result matters for Kansas sports fans because it sets up a crucial late-season tune-up before conference play starts, with Allen’s performance and readiness on the line.
