Glover has served as a pro tem judge in Douglas County since January 2022, handling misdemeanor cases, protection from abuse and protection from stalking cases, small claims, and traffic court. He also previously handled probation violations for felony and misdemeanor cases. Before that, he owned a law practice in Baldwin City from January 2014 through January 2022.
The appointment also builds on Glover’s local service: he was appointed City Attorney for Baldwin City in January 2018 and served until January 2022. He has been a board member of the Baldwin Education Foundation, which works with business and community leaders to fund teacher grants for innovation in public education.
District court judges in the Seventh Judicial District are appointed by the governor and chosen among nominees selected by a district nominating commission, with retention elections every four years.
