Glover, who is from Baldwin City, has served as judge pro tem since January 2022. The governor’s office release says he previously owned a law practice in Baldwin City and served as city attorney from January 2018 until becoming a judge pro tem. Before that, he worked as an assistant district attorney in McKinney, Texas.
In addition to Glover’s legal and judicial experience, the release describes his background in both civil and criminal law as an asset for Douglas County. The nominating commission also advanced two other candidates for the governor’s consideration: Paul Klepper of Lawrence, a judge pro tem in Douglas County District Court, and Krystal Vokins of Lawrence, assistant training director for the Kansas Board of Indigents’ Defense Services.
