Chanute woman dies after single-vehicle crash south of Humboldt

A Chanute woman died in a single-vehicle accident south of Humboldt Friday morning, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported. The crash happened on the 1150th Street northbound ramp to U.S. 169.

A Chanute woman died in a single-vehicle accident south of Humboldt Friday morning, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported. The crash happened on the 1150th Street northbound ramp to U.S. 169.

Thalia K. Green, 76, was declared dead at the scene after the 2001 Chevy Taho she was riding in left the roadway to the left and overturned. KHP said Green was not wearing a seat belt.

Lorren L. Green, 80, was driving and was wearing a seat belt. He was taken to the University of Kansas Medical Center for a suspected serious injury. The crash occurred about four miles south of Humboldt.
