Colony church service features sermon on suffering, Father’s Day communion meditation and cookout
A Colony church service included a sermon by Pastor Chase Riebel titled “Suffering vs. Glory,” which was based on Romans 8. The message emphasized gratitude for both life’s joys and its suffering, and that suffering can be expected while God is trusted to use it for good.
Darren McGhee used Father’s Day as the focus for his communion meditation, noting that earthly fathers aren’t always perfect and pointing people to a model in the Heavenly Father. Lexy Langworthy and Jake Riebel led worship singing.
A Father’s Day cookout followed the church service.
