The Kansas Department of Commerce has awarded $750,000 in Downtown Revive & Thrive grants to fund nine building renovation projects across the state, including work in Lincoln, Minneapolis, and Marion.
The grants will be matched with more than $286,000 in local contributions, bringing total investment to more than $1 million. The renovated spaces are intended to support business incubators as well as other concepts tied to downtown activity.
The program repurposes existing infrastructure to create accessible, modern workspaces and provide equipment for incubators, pop-up retail and restaurants, and other innovative ventures. The effort is administered by the Office of Rural Prosperity within the Kansas Department of Commerce, and it is part of broader state grant opportunities supporting rural communities.
