Sidewalk construction is set to begin Monday on Comanche Street in Dodge City, the Kansas Press Association reports. The City has announced a new sidewalk will be built along Comanche Street between Avenue A and Avenue C.
Construction will be handled by Building Solutions. While the project is underway, Comanche Street will stay open but be limited to one narrow lane in each direction to accommodate the work and construction activity.
Officials expect the sidewalk project to last about eight weeks. Residents traveling through the area are asked to use caution and watch for construction equipment, loose or shifting soil, freshly placed concrete, and fresh tar sealant, and to follow all posted traffic control devices.
For any unsafe condition or other issue that needs attention, residents can contact Building Solutions at (620) 225-1199.
