New sidewalk construction on Comanche Street is set to begin Monday in Dodge City. Western Kansas News reports the City of Dodge City announced the project to add a sidewalk along Comanche Street between Avenue A and Avenue C.
Construction will be handled by Building Solutions. During the work, Comanche Street will stay open but be reduced to one narrow lane in each direction to accommodate construction activities.
The city expects the project to take about eight weeks. Residents and travelers are asked to use caution in the area, watch for construction equipment and shifting soil, and be mindful of freshly placed concrete and fresh tar sealant.
Drivers should follow posted traffic control devices. If someone sees an unsafe condition or another issue, the city directs them to contact Building Solutions at (620) 225-1199.
