Public computers are available for people without technology at home, those who need internet access, and patrons who need printing capabilities. Students also use these computers when Chromebooks malfunction or do not work with coursework. Printing and copying services are among the most frequently used offerings, with community members using the library for black-and-white copies, color printing, large-format plotting, scanning to email, and faxing documents. For many residents, those services reduce the need to travel outside the community.
Library staff assist patrons with copying, faxing, scanning, and specialized printing, and students frequently depend on printing support for school projects, presentations, and assignments that require specific formatting. Beyond day-to-day technology, the library also maintains non-book collections and resources such as yearbooks, archives, genealogy materials, and historical newspapers.
As costs for supplies continue to rise, some service fees for copying, laminating, faxing, and specialty printing may need future review. The library notes it is currently operating through the EGS Library transition, and looks ahead to the possibility of returning to its 210 Schiller Avenue location to provide all services again.
