Feedlot and cow-calf producers invited to weigh in on fly-bait research

Apex Bait Technologies is developing a bait product aimed at controlling stable flies, house flies, and other filth flies. The company says its prototype has produced more than 90% stable fly mortality within two days in both lab and field trials, and it is designed to achieve complete fly mortality without the development of resistance.

To support the research, the company is asking feedlot owners, cow-calf producers, and others to share input about fly pressure at their facilities, what control practices they use now, and what they would prefer in new fly-control technologies. The online survey is described as taking about 10 minutes.
