Great Bend’s offense scored early with a four-run first. Cesar Chavira crossed on Decarlo Delancy’s single, with Peanut Brazzle and Jaxon Bunkers adding runs on groundballs. Delancy also scored on a passed ball, while the Brigade pushed back with five runs across the first three innings, including a run by Collin Ross on a wild pitch and another by Tyler Coffin on a L Firgens single. The game turned further when two walks and two errors helped create a four-run Brigade rally in the fourth inning. The Bat Cats still managed to stay alive, including a moment where former Great Bend player Kyle Walker was ruled out on a potential sacrifice fly for leaving second base early.
