Emergency response

  • EMS made 10 ambulance runs; firefighters responded to reports of smoke (no fire found) and to arcing lines and one false alarm.
  • Additional EMS runs were reported as eight, with firefighters responding to a false alarm.
  • Firefighters responded to mutual aid from Hoisington for two small fires near NE 60 Rd. and NE 20 Ave. at 1:28 p.m.
  • A structure fire report at 2535 Lakin Ave. was a false alarm.
