A first-time 4-H rabbit exhibitor is set to bring new energy to the Allen County Fair’s Baby Barnyard. Isaiah Myers, 15, is showing rabbits for the first time and brought three rabbits to compete, drawn from the 24 cages he keeps at home, after enjoying the chance to get feedback from judges. The Iola Register highlighted his Saturday rabbit show plans.
The 4-H Rabbit Show begins at 9 a.m. Saturday and will be followed by the Poultry Show. The weekend also features youth livestock judging, plus family-friendly fair attractions including a craft fair and the annual pie contest.
For evening events, mutton busting and rodeo action runs Friday and Saturday evenings at the Lyle Dreher Roughriders Arena, with mutton busting starting at 7 p.m. and the rodeo following at 8 p.m. The fair concludes with a premium livestock auction on Sunday evening.
