Three area riders won top honors while testing their skills in Wednesday’s Allen County Fair 4-H Horse Show inside the rodeo arena at Riverside Park, with events spanning horsemanship and timed races, as reported by The Iola Register.
Rohan Springer, a senior at Iola High School, captured titles in horsemanship, trail, and trail riding. He also placed second in the timed events, turning in performances on a 12-year-old horse named Strider.
Crew Shannon was the most decorated competitor of the day, earning honors for a champion gelding and a champion mare, along with additional individual recognitions. Ryan Arnold also competed in timed obstacle events, including a pole race, as the group battled for show standings.
