Hebrews 11:6 was included in Sunday scripture readings at the Carlyle Presbyterian church, and the message centered on “God’s Reward.” The service emphasized that pleasing God requires faith, alongside a focus on earnestly seeking God.
Bible references cited during the message tied rewards to faithfulness and action, including Colossians 3:23-24, which speaks about working with sincerity and the expectation of an inheritance from the Lord. “Awakening Chorus” was played by Myrna Wildschuetz during the service, and Kay Walker is managing the prayer list.
Communion is scheduled for July 12 during the service, and the church said visitors are welcome.
