Iola softball teams welcomed opponents from Fredonia and Humboldt for a series of games at Riverside Park. Sigg Motors, playing Fredonia across multiple matchups, posted a 14-1 win in Game 1 and followed with a 14-6 win in Game 2.
In the Fredonia games, Sigg Motors compiled hits from players including Charley Kerr, Cayleigh Rutherford, Abby Boeken, and Olivia Weber, with additional contributors listed for both games. The same day also included other local contests, including Sigg Motors defeating a Masonic Lodge team 11-7, with scoring and hits listed for both squads.
Other results from the slate included a close game where J&J Construction edged Community National Bank 11-10. The feed also notes Humboldt’s Ellen Winebrenner drove in a run in a game against Sigg Motors earlier this month.
