Multiple teams posted wins in the Iola-area recreational league games held June 29–July 2, with Sigg Motors compiling several double-digit scoring efforts against local opponents.
Sigg Motors defeated Community National Bank 15–9, beat J&J Contractors 17–6, and topped Chanute 15–2. In other results, J&J Contractors came up short against the Iola Masonic Lodge (13–8), and Sigg Tire edged A&W Restaurant 10–8. Herder Farms also recorded two wins, including an 11–4 victory over A&W Restaurant and a 6–5 decision against J&J Contractors.
Chanute teams were involved in several games as well: Allen County Regional Hospital defeated Chanute 8–7 and later won again 10–9, while Sonic Drive-In finished with two results versus Chanute (6–5 and 8–6).
