Junction City Police Department officials are mourning the loss of K9 Police Service Dog Vethos, who died while on duty Monday.
The department says Vethos was a Belgian Malinois who joined the agency in 2024 and served in the Investigations Division alongside his partner.
At this time, the circumstances surrounding Vethos’s passing are unknown, and the department has not provided additional details.
