The Kansas City Royals received two American League All-Star selections ahead of their Saturday matchup with the Philadelphia Phillies. Shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. and pitcher Michael Wacha were both named to the All-Star team.
Witt Jr. will appear in the All-Star game for the third straight year, and it will be his first time starting. Wacha earned his second All-Star selection, his first since 2015.
The MLB All-Star Game is set for Tuesday, July 14, at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
