Texas Roadhouse is moving from “soon” to a concrete plan for Wyandotte County, with the steakhouse chain preparing a new Kansas City, Kansas location. The first restaurant for the county is planned for 1300 North 98th Street, directly across from a Menards and just east of I-435.

FOX4 Kansas City reports that Wyandotte County Board of Commissioners approved a zoning change in May to allow the project—shifting the site from an agriculture district to a planned general business district. The planned restaurant would total 7,926 square feet.

The company also has expansion on its radar, and Texas Roadhouse Inc. has announced plans to grow operations. FOX4 has reached out to Texas Roadhouse and the Unified Government to learn timing for construction and an opening date.
