Governor Laura Kelly has announced dates for a summer series of local consult meetings aimed at strengthening water planning across Kansas. The seven meetings run from July 28, 2026, through August 27, 2026, giving Kansans a chance to share ideas on short- and long-term water challenges and to connect local priorities with future funding discussions.
The meetings, being conducted by the Kansas Water Office, the Kansas Department of Agriculture, and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, are intended to support coordinated, statewide action. Attendees can discuss water conservation, water quality issues, and community infrastructure and regional planning, while also learning how water supply factors into local growth and sustainability.
