Court records cited in the report say the alleged shooting occurred around 10:50 p.m. on July 4 in Memphis. Vick, 29, is accused of approaching the victim during a party confrontation, continuing the argument after the victim tried to walk away, and firing one shot. The victim’s back was injured.

The report also states that the victim identified Vick as the shooter in a six-person lineup days after the incident. Vick is charged with criminal attempt to commit first-degree murder and employing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony. A $1.5 million bond has been set, and he is due in court on July 13 for his arraignment.

The report notes Vick had been scheduled to play in an alumni tournament with other former Jayhawks starting next week.
