Drivers are being warned that flooding has put a section of U.S. 283 under water, affecting travel between KS-156 and the Hodgeman/Ness County Line. The Kansas Department of Transportation says the roadway is currently reduced to one lane as a result of the conditions.
Flaggers are in position to direct traffic through the affected area. Motorists are encouraged to use caution and follow direction from traffic control personnel while the flooding persists.
