LDCPH already offers pregnancy tests, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, and free condoms. The department announced that expanded care is now available again, after LDCPH paused the full suite of services in early 2023.
Community partners previously helped keep access available: Heartland Community Health Center expanded its Title X family planning services so clients would still have care options. In explaining the return of services, LDCPH leadership pointed to building a care system aimed at equitable access in Douglas County.
