Downtown Lawrence brought another round of community energy to its annual Midsummer Night on Mass Friday night, with new additions that included a parade and a street concert.
The event, branded as Brass on Mass, drew a wide swath of Lawrence community members of all ages, mixing shopping and street entertainment along Mass Street.
Kansas Press Association highlighted the expanded format, noting that the parade and concert became key parts of the evening’s downtown activities.
