Planning commissioners in Lawrence voted on Monday to recommend annexing nearly 300 acres into western Lawrence and to rezone the property as part of a proposed development called Beacon Landing, according to the Kansas Press Association.
The area is described as being west of K-10, where the city would extend municipal boundaries and zoning to accommodate the planned project.
