Grandparents and grandkids spend three days learning together at K-State in Manhattan

About 70 local grandparents and their grandchildren visited Kansas State University in Manhattan for a hands-on college experience this July. KSNT 27 News reports the group spent three days, from July 12 to July 14, taking classes and getting a feel for what campus life is like from the student perspective.

The program paired older family members with children and grandchildren as they moved through the rhythm of a university schedule. Participants leaned into the role of college students for the three-day visit, using classes as the centerpiece of the learning experience.
