An incoming K-State Wildcat has helped lift Team France to the top of Europe’s FIBA Women’s U20 competition. Tea Cleante, described as a rising sophomore and Penn State transfer, played a key role as France clinched the 2026 FIBA Women’s U20 Eurobasket Championship.

France secured the title with a 79-66 win over Team Israel on Sunday. In the championship game, Cleante was the team’s leading scorer, finishing with 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting, according to KSNT 27 News.

The championship marks a major international achievement for Cleante and sets up what the article frames as a promising start for her next chapter with Kansas State.
