According to the Great Bend Tribune, Kansas Farm Bureau’s political action committee has endorsed incumbent Rep. Derek Schmidt in Kansas’ 2nd District.
The endorsement came from Voters Organized to Elect Farm Bureau Friends, known as VOTE FBF. The committee is made up of active farmer and rancher members elected from Kansas Farm Bureau’s 10 geographic districts.
The Tribune reported that the endorsement process began earlier this year with recommendations from autonomous county Farm Bureau organizations. Kansas Farm Bureau said its VOTE FBF fund, established in 1993, supports candidates who understand agriculture and advocate on its behalf.
