K-State’s first three home football games begin Saturday, Sept. 5. KDOT says two separate construction areas could affect traffic: work at the K-18/I-70 interchange on I-70 and concrete patching and bridge repair on U.S. 77 south of I-70.
For eastbound I-70, lane reductions are in place between Henry Drive (Exit 301) and K-18 (Exit 303), with possible traffic back-ups. For northbound U.S. 77, a 1-mile stretch just south of I-70 will have lane reductions, and temporary traffic signals will guide one-lane traffic around bridge construction, also with possible back-ups.
Motorists are advised to leave early when possible, allow extra travel time, and consider alternate routes during these periods.
