A grazing management workshop is planned for July 28–29 in Manhattan, with the National Grazing Lands Coalition hosting the training aimed at ranchers and other land managers. The Kansas Livestock Association says the program will combine classroom instruction with hands-on field experience.
Topics will include reducing fire risk, restoring soil health, and improving the long-term economic viability of the ranch. Each day will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and lunch is included.
Registration costs $50, and organizers request that people sign up by July 1. For more information or to register, use www.bit.ly/NGLCManhattan.
