A 29-year-old Olathe man died Monday morning after a crash on southbound Interstate 35 in Johnson County, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. The collision occurred around 11:30 a.m. about a half-mile south of 119th Street.
The patrol reported that a Cadillac DTS was traveling behind a 2021 Toyota Camry when it struck the rear of the sedan. After the impact, the Cadillac hit the outside barrier and continued along the shoulder, striking the wall multiple times, then entered a grassy area, went airborne over a small hill, and rolled before coming to rest on its roof.
The driver, identified as Isaiah Foster, died from his injuries. The Camry’s driver, a 40-year-old man from Blue Springs, Missouri, was reported to have suffered minor injuries. Investigators said the crash is still under investigation.
