KSNT 27 News reports that City officials in Manhattan spoke Wednesday after an issue was raised with sirens in a local town.
According to a press release cited by KSNT 27 News, Vivienne Leyva, with the City of Manhattan, said her office received additional information from the National Weather Service (NWS) following a recent tornadic incident.
KSNT 27 News notes that the tornadic incident damaged homes near Riley County, and the renewed information from the NWS was part of what prompted the Manhattan officials to address the siren activation question.
