The Sheriff’s Office requested KBI assistance at about 1:10 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25. A female resident in the 400 block of Grant Street called 911 at about 2:51 a.m. Tuesday to report an unknown male subject broke into her home and assaulted her. KBI agents and the Crime Scene Response Team responded.
Law enforcement is asking area residents to remain vigilant by keeping home and vehicle doors locked and reporting suspicious activity by calling 911. People in the immediate vicinity are also requested to review home security or doorbell camera footage for unknown subjects or suspicious activity recorded between 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, and 8 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25.
