A Salina heavy-equipment manufacturer donated a Ford F-750 to Salina Area Technical College, and the school held a celebration of the vehicle’s arrival on Tuesday.
Salina Tech says the truck is branded and ready for use, designed to support hands-on learning experiences for its students.
The college credited Bergkamp Inc. for its support of technical education. Bergkamp, founded in 1977 and based in Salina, designs and hand-builds heavy machinery used by paving contractors and government agencies worldwide to help maintain, repair, and extend the lifecycle of roads.
