The report says winds topped 113 mph, leaving debris and widespread destruction across Salina. Evergy has restored service for many customers, but some residents said they did not know when their electricity would return.
One resident, Jasmine Lee, said three of her vehicles were damaged during Monday night’s storm, including one with a windshield broken by a branch. Her family’s power came back Thursday afternoon after several days without service, but she said they still did not have water.
Fox Kansas reported that Evergy did not have a definite timeline for full restoration, but said crews planned to focus first on neighborhoods, then on individual homes and businesses.
