Salina Public Works will start a citywide limb pickup on Monday, focusing crews on clearing tree debris from residential areas with the most significant storm damage.
Residents should neatly stack tree limbs at the curb, keeping piles to a maximum length of 10 feet. Crews ask that the pile not be blocked by vehicles and that there be no other debris or waste mixed in with the limbs. The City will divide pickup work into six zones to address storm debris efficiently.
Curbside pickup is intended only for city curb locations: the City will not collect on private properties, private streets, alleys, or commercial properties. Any tree limbs and vegetation debris meant for free curbside pickup must be placed at the curb.
