Salina police arrested two parents after six children, including two infants, were allegedly left in a hot car for up to 30 minutes in 97-degree heat outside a Wingstop restaurant. Investigators said the children were in the vehicle while the temperature was 97 degrees.
Officers found two 7-month-olds, a 2-year-old, a 4-year-old, a 5-year-old and a 13-year-old inside the car. Capt. James Feldman said the children were evaluated by EMS.
The parents, identified by police as 53-year-old Michael Krueger and 40-year-old Tiffany Krueger, were taken into custody on six counts of aggravated child endangerment. The incident is described by FOX Kansas News as occurring with the parents inside the Wingstop restaurant.
