Salina police say an arrest was made in a case involving multiple vehicle burglaries and a vehicle theft, following reports of roughly a dozen unlocked vehicles being entered in the 1800–2000 block of Marc early Sunday morning. Investigators said items stolen included a handgun, and a Buick Regal was taken after its keys were left in the vehicle.
Police identified a suspect through cameras in the area. Officers were later called around 4:45 a.m. to the 200 block of W Wilson after multiple parked vehicles were reportedly hit with the stolen Buick; the unoccupied car was still in the area.
Later that day, an officer spotted a suspect—43-year-old Andrew Pruett—walking near the 400 block of S 11th Street and took him into custody around 3:20 p.m. He could face charges including multiple counts of burglary and theft. Police said the stolen gun has not been recovered. NewsRadio 1150 KSAL reported the arrest and described the investigation.
