Salina’s updated “Most Wanted” list is now online, with the July lineup expanded to 48 people as organizers work to clear numerous active warrants. The list is released online on the first weekend of each month, and the July update went live Saturday morning.
Compared with earlier releases, the July list “looks a little different” because it has been doubled to target outstanding cases. The people named are wanted for a range of crimes, including armed robbery, aggravated battery, aggravated escape from custody, fleeing and eluding, child abuse, sexual exploitation of a child, felony drug crimes, and other offenses.
In addition to the new July posting, the article notes that the June “Most Wanted” list led to over half a dozen arrests. Since the program began in July 2000, public tips have helped catch 4,002 people, and 453 crime stoppers rewards have been issued.
