Salina Police are investigating a burglary after two English Bulldog puppies were reported stolen from a west Salina home early Wednesday morning. Residents said someone entered through an unsecured door and took the puppies while other dogs were in the kitchen.
The puppies, reportedly only about 2 weeks old, were last seen at midnight. When the owner checked at 6:00 AM, two were missing. Three people were home at the time, but none heard anything during the night.
Police described one missing puppy as a male with a black coat and white markings on its head. The other is a black-and-gray female with a white face and a white and pink ear. The owner estimated the value of each puppy at $5,000.
