A giant banana taped to the side of a Topeka business was briefly taken and then quickly recovered, turning a public art-style display into the latest local twist at the property.
The display follows the Swims & Sweeps project timeline: just weeks after Swims & Sweeps covered the business’s longtime downtown mural, owner Clayton Sherwood installed a massive banana that mirrors the famous artwork that inspired it.
After the banana was removed, it was recovered soon afterward, allowing the business to keep the display in place.
