Kansas officials say the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has approved the state’s new Community Supports Waiver, with the waiver scheduled to take effect in October. Governor Laura Kelly announced the approval on July 9 alongside the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE).
The approval means the state’s waiver can move forward into its planned start period later this year, following the CMS green light reported by state leadership.
