Topeka Eagle Scout expands hunger-fighting blessing boxes to more than 60 sites

More than 60 blessing boxes are now in place across the Topeka area as part of an Eagle Scout service project focused on reducing food insecurity, KSNT 27 News reports. The boxes were installed by Jax, a member of Troop 175 in Topeka, who began by placing one in the Capital City. His effort has grown beyond that first installation, with additional blessing boxes added as the project expanded. The community-based approach is intended to provide local help for residents who need food. The blessing boxes mark a sustained commitment by the scout and his troop to practical, on-the-ground support for hunger-related needs in Topeka.
