The Topeka Fire Department is seeking resident feedback on a proposal to relocate three fire stations across the city. Officials say the plan is designed to improve emergency response times and replace aging facilities.
A key part of the proposal is expanding four-minute emergency coverage. If implemented, the department says four-minute response coverage would rise from 75% of Topeka households to 82%.
Topeka residents are being asked to respond as the department evaluates how the station changes could affect where crews are positioned for faster assistance.
